Tom Watt agrees to host a weekly Fans Forum starting on Friday nights in January for the new Arsenal TV station, which proves so popular that air-time for the programme is immediately extended.

Lucinda Green presents Lewis Hamilton with his trophy as International newcomer of the Year at the Sports Journalists' annual Awards lunch (above right).

James Lawton caps a wonderful 12 months - in which he produced the most successful sports book of the year with Sir Bobby Charlton - by being named as Sports Journalist of the year in the What the Papers Say Awards (below right). David Conn is runner-up with Martin Samuel of The Times.

Sue Mott is enlisted again as a judge in the annual

Simon and Schuster secure the rights to Paul Kimmage's eagerly-awaited new book to be written in
conjunction with Matthew Hampson whose dreams of becoming a fully fledged England player were cruelly brought to an end when he was paralysed during training with the international under-21 rugby squad
two years ago.

DWM welcomes highly-regarded young Radio5 Live and Smooth FM broadcaster, Ben Jacobs, to the team and also secures sponsorship for the Sports Journalists' Association from BT Vision.

Tom Watt hosts a Corporate Charity Evening at the David Beckham Football Academy in Greenwich.

Andy Murray - 'Hitting Back'

Sue Mott is signed to work with Andy Murray on one of the top sporting autobiographies planned for 2008, while James Lawton's outstanding work on the first part of Bobby Charlton's life-story is rewarded with a place on the short-list for this year's William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award.

Hugh McIlvanney contributes a major piece on Jimmy Johnstone to Kraken's forthcoming Celtic Opus.

Jim White writes and presents an updated Jose Mourinho documentary for Sky TV.

Laura Williamson interviews James Cracknell for the winter edition of the Leader magazine.

September sees the Emirates Stadium launch of Kraken's Highbury Opus written by Sue Mott, Alan Smith and David Miller with contributions from Paddy Barclay

and that of Jim White's highly-acclaimed new book:
'You'll Win Nothing With Kids'.(below right)

programme in the new series of Fighting Talk on Radio 5 Live - to be followed shortly after by Jim White and Sue Mott.

Hugh McIlvanney delights an enthusiastic audience at the Dundee Sportmans Dinner with a memorable after-dinner performance, and Paddy Barclay is signed up for Setanta's new show, Football Matters, as well as appearing as a pundit during ITV's Champions League coverage.

Sue Mott presents the British perspective on Wimbledon for ESPN viewers throughout the tennis championships for the third year running.

Will Buckley joins Laura Williamson in writing a regular column for The Leader Magazine (right) produced by Sports Leaders UK.

Mihir Bose addresses an elite sporting audience at UK Sport's Dinner in Sunningdale.

DWM arranges for James Nesbitt to contribute the foreword to Norman Whiteside's forthcoming autobiography produced by Headline.

Tom Watt hosts Arsenal's annual Charity Ball at the Emirates Stadium, having presented the Queens Park Rangers Player of the Year awards awards a week earlier, and appears at the Hay Literary Festival to discuss the art of ghost-writing.

Paul Kimmage is named Sports Interviewer of the Year at the 2006 Sports Journalists' Association Awards for the third year running, with Sue Mott short-listed here and in the Columnist of the Year category. James Lawton wins the coveted Feature Writer of the Year title, with Paul Kimmage highly commended. Stephen Jones is judged to have produced the Sports Story of the Year, and Mihir Bose is short-listed in the Sports News Reporter section.

Following earlier appearances by Tom Watt, Will Buckley and David Conn, Jim White and Sue Mott become the latest DWM clients to join Radio 5 Live's popular Saturday morning programme, Fighting Talk. Paddy Barclay, meanwhile, continues to feature regularly on 5 Live's mid-week sports shows.

 

February 2007

Tom Watt presents a sporting evening for Crystal Palace Football Club, and Sue Mott hosts the Herts. 2012 Olympic Conference in Hatfield.

Stephen Jones and Stuart Barnes are signed to contribute columns to Rugby World, with Stephen also contracted to the New Zealand version of the magazine.

ITV's lead rugby commentator, John Taylor - a former British Lion who was recently voted Wales' greatest ever number 7 - joins DWM.
