Laura Williamson
Intent on pursuing a career in the sports media after graduating from Durham University with a First class Honours degree in English literature, Laura became the first woman to be employed full-time by Hawk-Eye Innovations.
As Hawk-Eye expands into more and more sporting fields her work in TV production and publicity has taken her all over the world…from Wimbledon to Melbourne for the Australian Open, to the ICC Champions Trophy and to the Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
Laura has won numerous awards for her academic and sporting prowess, and was recently selected as Team Leader for UK Sport's inaugural IDEALS project in Zambia.
Maintaining that interest in sports development, she is now involved in producing features for the Sports Leader magazine, and signed a contract to join the Daily Mail group in 2008.
