Ben Jacobs
Ben Jacobs is a versatile sports broadcaster who thrives in live environments.
Among many other assignments, he is currently reading bulletins at BBC Radio 5Live and Radio Four, as well as doing full-match commentaries on Chelsea at Smooth FM, and match summaries for Final Score on BBC.
Ben is also a regular contributor for Setanta and is in the middle of a comic-thriller called 'Control'.
After Graduating with Double First in English Language & Literature from Oxford University in 2004, Ben was trained at Sky News, before moving to BBC Northampton.
In 2006, he switched to BBC 1's flagship Politics Show, as their lead
London Reporter, before being appointed Sports Editor at Reading 107 -
Reading Football Club's official radio station.
Ben became a freelance in March 2007 and - alongside his current roles - has since worked at Classic Gold Breakfast with Tony Blackburn, East Midlands Today, BBC WM, LBC, The Sun and Sports Media, covering a variety of events from Wimbledon and Silverstone...to a 'Page 3' penalty-shoot-out!
